The most important thing is to remember that a business card represents you and your business. Even if you are setting up a shoe string business in your mother's basement - you do not want your card to give that impression.

A business card is often the one thing that will make a client decide if they will contact you or not. A flimsy, standardised card won’t make you stand out from the rest, and that is exactly what is required in the highly competitive environment we work in.

Businesses are judged by their printed materials. If a restaurant can't take the time to correct the spelling in a menu, how much care do they take in the kitchen? If you want people to invest in your business - care about how it looks.

The quality of the paper is the first consideration. Flimsy cheap paper will give your business a low quality image. If your potential client has been given a few cards from similar businesses, a thick high quality card will stand out and make the client contact you, not anyone else.
